any straightener with ceramic will work great, but still will damage your hair, it doesn't matter if you pay $40 or $400, so just check that is ceramic and make sure to use protective spray.

procelian series, its great, and its what they use in the commercials! its around 60-70 dollars in sally's beauty salon. and its heat index is 460 degrees. wow! also, dont get a "from wet to straight" they might work really well, but they fry your hair! its horrible!

Chi's do not last long. They break way too easily. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

It reaches 410 degrees., with tempature control. CHI doesn't have tempature control.
