also, try a craft store, they have thinkgs like silk flowers that you could attach to an elastic or something like that.

In a hairdressers shop, or in a $1 shop they have all sorts of crazy stuff. I am not sure which country you are in, so I guess go to a mall and look around! Good luck :-)

Go to Wal-Mart or a place like Micheals and look in the crafts isle...They have plenty of things that would be perfect for you.
