If you're going after guys, keep your hair a little longer. They almost universally think long hair is sexier. Personally, I have mine nice and manageable, just a few inches below my shoulder with lots of layers and no color.

It depends on the person. Some people look great in short hair and others look awful in it. The same goes for long hair.
