i really want to get coontails in my hair not like crazy and huge ones but 2 tiny cute ones. like i think they look really cute on some peoplebut on others i hate the fake extention kind because there just blah and wierd and dont look like real hair at all. i have dark hair and want coontails in a alomst blonde but not bleach i just wanted to ask people what they thought about since i know alot of people say they dont look good on anyone and since there not really in style right know . i really want them but i want to people to give me some advice.

I would not where them myself...but i did know a guy who use to wear a racoon hat into the clubs and he met alot of women that way ......he never left home w/o it!

Chi's do not last long. They break way too easily. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

graish and bluish cute skirt (short but not that shirt) .

a hair scarf(small) black with white poca dots.

black and white flip flops.

whitebelt with stars.

I don't tink the white belt with stars would look good because you're already wearing a white shirt; and it's kind of too much, I would stay with the polka dot theme. Everything else sounds good.

You might leave the belt off, as for everything else, go for it. Avoid mega-overdone earrings though, they tend to make your head look waaaay big.

I would wear it without scarf, flipflops and white belt. instead pull your hair into simple high ponytail( at least it is gonna be 80d and earing would look better) wear nice sandals, they doesn't need to be very high, and just forget the belt....

Nooooo, don't do like someone said, NOT short... That will just accentuate the frizz.

Instead, let your hair grow long (if you like that idea, that is) and the curls will become more defined /less frizzy with the weight.

As for hairstyles... Curly hair looks beautiful just the way it is... Curly, not straight or boring :P

You can try whatever a person with straight hair would do... the difference is, the frizz / curl, will actually make the hairstyle stay put. In other words, say, this girl with straight hair does the same do as yours; hers will last for about a hour, yours will last all day!!

Yes, I agree...I have curly frizzy hair once and I cut it short...It makes it worse...go long if you have a choice... it may be more hair to pick through but it helps the frizz factor... also never ever brush curly hair and use lots of conditioner but make sure you rinse out good so ur hair don't fall out... also only wash it about twice a week....over washing it or washing more then 3 times weekly will dry it out, and take moisture out of hair.

Buy Garnier Fructis long and strong! When my hair was long I only used that shampoo it was the best thing ever. (My hair was a little past my butt but just recently cut it to my shoulders!!!) Anyways, I know how you feel I could not do anything with my hair that long, it was also so thick. You can always curl it though, put it in a bun or braid it. But now that I look back on it I wish I wore my hair down more, I miss it. I mostly miss the compliments! *ha*

The fast and easy one would be to straighten your hair or you can curl it. Loose curls looks better and more attractive. CUT IT. for years i wore a ponytail. my hair was SO long. it was pretty but it sure was boring. ponytail, ponytail, day after day. BORING. now i wear my hair shoulder length with long layers. i get compliments all the time. i mean ALL THE TIME. it's so flippy and full and sassy. trust me. cut it. you don't have to go as short as i did. just take of 5 or 6 inches and have long layers. you will only miss what you've cut for a VERY short time.

Take half of your har from your ear to yor crown, then part that section down the middle. Tie those sections in a knot. Tie in a knot again and again untill you don't have much hair left to knot. Then pull those knotted pieces up to th top of your head and force in some bobby pins here and there to hold in place. The result should look like half down half up with braid like pattern and spritzy left out sections. Fan those peices out and hair spray them. If you can picture it, way cute.

I realize you didn't ask for advice on how to cut your hair, I'm going to offer what my best suggestion would be if you are truly interested in having a VERSATILE, but lengthy hairdo.

I would cut length to somewhere around the bottom band of your bra, so that gives you 'middle of back' length and quite a bit to do many things with. Next, start face framing layers at chin or so length, and then continue them to the length of your hair.

If it would flatter your face (most people fall into this category) you should consider wearing some light bangs that vary with enough length to be side swept or on your forehead, probably longer than what you currently have as fringed. Most people are flattered by bang length no shorter than just above the tops of the eyebrows. If you keep them on the longer side, you'll keep more options. They should blend into your layers.

With this length and style, you've got numerous options, such as updos, both formal and informal, as well as wearing it partly up or partly back, and you can use steam/hot rollers, or a curling iron, and play with many formal, professional, and casual looks. Unfortunately, you're at a length where I don't think most of those options are available due to the magnitude of your hair.

However, if you're not ready to cut your hair, perhaps light, longer bangs and some light layering close to your jaw (as in, long enough to go in a ponytail) would reduce severity and add softness. I would try some updos that are twisted and pinned as more formal choices than the current ponytail.

okay so here's the problem, im supposed to dress up like a redneck but i still want to look cute. at first i thought, jeans, plaid shirt, braids. but then my mom's like, "no thats hillbilly. redneck is different. youd need cuttoff shorts and bleach blonde hair." but im not allowed to wear short shorts at this party, or belly shirts, or spagetti straps. and i dont want to bleach my hair. and i want to look cute. any suggestions?

So, I actually am from a town of 'rednecks' and I am one of them. We actually do wear our hair in braids and we normally wear jeans with holes in them (in the knees, etc.). We wear a lot of boots- cowboy and otherwise- occassionally some waders (the rubber ones). For tops we wear a lot of camo, john deere, IH (international harvester), "I Farm, You Eat" shirts. We do layer a lot- long sleeved shirts and a t-shirt, especially in the winter. And, of course, we love our cowboy hats. Mine is brown but that's cause my boots are brown. My siblings have black boots and black hats so it's really a matter of preference there. Anyway, I hope this helped.

I really want layers in my hair. I don't know if I should wait to let my hair grow longer though. Right now I have shoulder length hair if not longer. I found a cute picture in a magazine and I REALLY want it done. The girl in the picture has hair about an inch below the shoulder. Do you think the hair would look the same on me? It depends on the thickness of your hair. Long layers look beautiful if your hair is really thick. Then I would say to let it grow longer. If your hair is thin like mine, long layers would just make my hair look thinner, it wouldn't get enough oomph and it would just lay there. So when I get my layers, I have my stylist cut it to my shoulders and layer it. That gives me tons of body and it looks great (no to sound conceited), but I do love it.

Wash your hair then put it in braids (could just be two braids, you don't have to do your whole head) or you can buy a crimper. A more messy, but effective way, is using gel and scrunching with your hands.

When I crimp my hair, I would just leave it down or add a stylish head band with long earrings.

Buy a crimper, heat it, and use it just like a straightener but do one section at a time, dont move the crimper up and down on piece of hair. I used to hair long hair when i was a kid. When i transferred to a prodomonently white school in 3rd grade, i was occasionally made fun of when my mom would put my hair in certain hair styles.( I'm African american by the way) She would do cute ponytails with barrettes in my hair. But sometimes she would try something new. Being a kid, you had to let your mom do your hair because you were not old enough to decide for yourself. I was made fun of at some of my hair styles..i must admit i didnt like a few myself. But growing up i started being able to decide on how i wanted my hair to be done. Doin this caused my hair major damage that didnt become noticable until around my 7th grade year. My hair was getting shorter and shorter breaking off. Any advice or hair tips for getting my hair longer and healthier but still look cute? Can this be done before school starts? I'm 15 and becoming a sophmore.

Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb.

Deep condition twice a week

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water.

When using a conditioner leave on for about 1-3 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to have shiny hair

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers,curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

If you dye your hair do it atleast once a year, hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill your hair.

If you notice any split ends, I would start off by cutting as much of them off as you can. Split ends can often split further up the hair shaft causing more damage as the hair grows longer. After that start using an olive oil treatment, it works very well as a moisturizer for the hair. Obviously, it'll make it oily but it helps it in the long run. I'd use it at least once a week just to be safe. You'll have to be patient as your hair grows but it will be worth it to cut off the damage so that when it does get long, it will be beautiful!

it sounds like you might have split ends. you can buy special shampoos to help strengthen the hairs. the downside about split ends is that you do need to get the ends trimmed frequently,. depending on how fast your hair grows. it could be as often as every three weeks, or once every other month. be careful if you decide to dye your hair or go swimming, as the chlorine in a pool can damage your hair. good luck fixing the problem, and good luck in 10th grade! I just finished my sophomore year, and it was so much fun! i think you will enjoy it. take every opportunity that comes your way, because you will regret it if you dont.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Red is the hardest color to maintain when it comes to coloring your hair. You might get a auburn color but after awhile it will fade or wash out. What you can do is get color shielding shampoo. Loreal' Vive is good, Garnear, or anyone else pretty much sells it. You can also go into the more expensive stuff. That will probly work better. [But it will hurt your wallet] Another thing about coloring your hair. You have to keep it moisterized after that because the harsh chemicals in the dye can really harm your hair an cause alot of breakage. As for the cut. I really dont know. When u get cuts its supposed to be according to your face shape.

I have long curly hair, that can be abit out of control and frizzy. I would like to straighten it, but everytime I do, it ends up looking dry, frizzy and so un-natural. Does anyone know how to straighten hair really well with chepa and easy to find products that dont dry out your hair too much? I would suggest professional products so I can't say it would be too cheap, but I will give you the cheapest way from someone who has curly hair and managed a hair salon so I have seen some curls come in and straight walk out.

I would get a good shampoo and conditoner kit (not a 2 in one) and I would suggest this time of year going to a Trade Secret they have good deals on sets. Try Sleek looks by matrix that is my fav. and go with the shampoo %26amp; conditoner and then you will ask them about silk therapy from Biosilk. and Laminate spray from Sebastion. Ok you are saying geesh this is expensive. I know! But once you buy it you will have it for a while and it will help fix your hair from being dry. And I have used all kinds of flat irons from the cheapest to the ones priced out of site! I would go with one by the brand name Helon of Troy it is 30 bucks at a Trade Secret and it had been the best one of the ones I have had, I owned a Chi, the paul mitchell straightner, and I don't find they straighten it all the way.

Now with all these products I can tell you that you will have straight hair and make sure it is cut, that will sometimes make it not turn out so great, if you have dead ends that will make it frizz. I would say to get your hands on all this stuff you are looking at about $60 bucks, not sure if you can beg for it for christmas lol :) and one tip if you go with this stuff, heat the flat iron several times before using it, And it will work better, the more you use it the better it is, kinda have to break it in. And start from underneath dont try to do a lot of hair at once.

Ok well goodluck now that I have told you the secret :) I hope you are able to get these products the laminate spray and biosilk are very important put the biosilk on about a dime to quarter size through your hair wet and you will spray one spray on dry hair of the laminate on to the hair before you straighten it and then run the flat iron down it couple times, and you will have straight hair and it will look healthy and not dry. And be careful and don't straighten it too much it will dry it out.

for straight styles, you have to roll the brush repeatedly till strand totally dry the more rotations you do the softer and silkier the hair, use sunsilk the green bottle for frizz it will help. and for beautiful curls remeber to always use mousse to define the curls...but the trick for the best curly hair texture is moisture moisture moisture

Shampooing with shampoo and a bit of mayonnaise actually controls frizzy hair. It really isn't as gross as it sounds and it has worked wonders for me! Another thing that has helped is to put chapstick or other types of lip balm on the roots of your hair.

*Both of these solutions should be used while showering or bathing.

The products i would reccomend would be bed head control freak line.....it has a shampoo and conditioner, a serum/gel like...that you put in the hair yet, a spray called xtra xtra straight which can be applied to wet and dry hair (dry - in moderation) when you put that it sry is calms down most of those frizzy hairs or the ones that just go wild....also get a trim every couple months to keep hair healthy

I always blow dry my hair as straight as I can get it with a claw attachment by holding out my hair in sections and putting the claw in my hair, pointing down with the blow dryer and taking it down my hair slowly. This seems to work a lot quicker than using a round brush, and it seems to get it smoother since you are going down the hair shaft. Then I go over it with my CHI iron. The heat protection products I use are "Make It Straight" by VO5 and "Dangerously Straight" flat out finishing spray by Herbal Essences. Here is a link to a page with the picture of a blow dryer pick (claw) attachment. You can also buy a universal one that fits almost any blow dryer from Sally's Beauty Supply for $5 bucks. I also really love Biosilk's Silk Therapy. Hope this helps!!!

I always hated my curly hair but that was just because I didn't know what to do with it, now that I've embraced it, I know how it works! Curly hair looks really cute short and is much more easier to manage than long hair. Maybe try that, your hair won't look dry anymore and when you straighten it it'll look flirtier and much healthier.

I have the same type of hair, plus mine is thick and frizzy. I usually use Aussie Tizz no Frizz hair gel to keep my curls (since straightening takes too much time and only makes my natural frizz worse). You could also pull two sections of your hair back with small clips and leave the rest down.

yhea so heres some tips. cause i have felt your pain, and now i dont.

1. dont highlight your hair a lighter color.

cause lets say if you get blonde streaks, itll overprocces yer hair, and thats not pretty.

2. use hair serum and NEVER use a brush, use a wide-tooth comb. Itll make it shiny and less poofy.

3. if you think itll look good on you, dye your hair black. it makes it shiny and if you have thick hair, it thins it out.

I love that you put down don't brush your hair! A lot of times people don't realize how frizzy and ratty a brush can make hair look, especially if you have curly, kinky, or processed hair. I would add regularly condition your hair, though. Frizzy hair tends to be too dry. Serum is okay, but a good deep conditioner of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Honey will make your hair feel so soft.

So I am a 19 year old Indian girl..with super long black wavy hair in its natural state but I straighten it so it is usually jet straight. My hair style right now is pretty boring, just my long hair that goes down to my bottom and it is barely layered (imagine a huge U and thats what my hair looks like). I curl in the ends and thats all I really do with my hair. It's super thick and I have no idea what hair style would look good. I love so many celebrity's hair styles but they have really thin hair. Well it really depends on what you are going to do on the date, but I would wear either a really cute skirt and top or a chic pair of jeans and and a cute shirt. Makeup and hair: Be NATURAL!! If I have learned one thing as I've gotten older (im 25) less really is more! Just curl your hair or straighten it for a more modern look and put on some simple makeup. I think that blush is a really great way to make simple makeup look soft and natural.

Bold prints and colors are in this season, so don't be afraid to wear something fashionable. Skinny jeans and flats or wide leg pants and heels! The sky is the limit! Have FUN! (oh and smile...cause that will make you beautiful!)

I have fairly thick hair, and what you should try, is getting a chi flat iron, don't stop reading yet, the chi flat iron can do more then straighten your hair. haha.. Or you can try finding a rounded flat iron. It takes about 30mins. and the more you practice the quicker it gets.

Put half or 1/4 of your hair in a pony tail

Take small peices of hair

Grab your flat iron and start at your roots and curl your hand inward, like using a regular curling iron. and have the hair go all the way through as you are curling it inwards. (if any of this makes sense.) You don't have to do ever peice you have on your head to curl. Just do peices.

and then take down more hair from your pony tail and curl some of that, and continue on. I am pretty sure it works with regular curling irons, but to me it seems quicker with my flat iron. After wards use mousse or gel and hair spray to make them hold

I'm sure this is really confusing, but I suggest going to a hair stylest to really show you hands on how to do your hair.

I read this in a seventeen magazine once and it worked great for me.. you need one of the squirty water bottles, with a nozzle that sprays out.. and you fill it half way with water.. then you add a few teaspoons of salt to it and then also a few drops of hair gel. Then you mix it all up and apply it to damp, towel dried hair!

i have been wanting to do something different w/my hair but i dont want to cut it w/prom right around the corner,so do you think it would look cute if i dyed the bottom half of my hair a dark brown? i have saw it on ppl.with blonde ppl and i think its cute but since i have red hair im not too sure!!

i think it works with some blondes. others makes them look a little on the "racoony" side. if you have red hair i don't really think that it would work.

unless your willing to dye all your hair [blonde on top] then go for it. but it wont look as nice when it starts to grow out.

you could get blonde or brown streaks in your hair.people say it looks nice with red hair.

I really don't think you should do it because since your hair is Red, and you want halve of it Brown I think that it would kind of blend in with ur natural hair on blonde peeps, it shows and it's cute, but not so much with dark colored hair..

I really want to change my look, but I'm not sure if I want to dye my hair black. My hair is dark and i really want some cute red and blond highlights. I'm also a little worried that my new style won't go well with my skin tone and face shape. What's your oppinion?

It would also suit you if you straighten your hair.

Try going not as bold on the red.

either spend an extra ten minutes on straightening your hair to make it perfect, or curl it really well.

I think you should get red or light brown highlights! that looks the most natural then like pink or purple.
